Ellis House

The lovely Ellis House is a holiday rental property in country Victoria, about an hour's drive from Melbourne. Country homes aren't usually my style, but there are a lot of elements I love about this one - the moody colour scheme, high ceilings, intricate details, chandeliers and especially the main bathroom in neutral shades with a gorgeous claw foot bathtub.

Magic rainbow umbrella

I just bought a lovely new umbrella from Oroton last week, but now I want this one from Clifton too.

It's pretty stylish with its black and white raindrop print, but even better when it gets wet.

A renovated Bondi terrace

I should be sleeping right now, but my cough is keeping me awake, so here's a lovely renovated terrace in Bondi belonging to Jodi and Brendan York, an architect and an accountant. I especially love the kitchen with its patterned tile splashback and the outdoor entertaining space.

My wedding reception dress

Harry suggested that I buy a second dress for our wedding reception, something I would be more comfortable dancing in than my wedding gown. Isn't he a sweetheart! As navy is the colour of his tie and my wedding shoes, I chose this dress from Tadashi Shoji's Fall 2012 collection.

I love it! The shape is sleek and sexy and very flattering. It's made from jersey with a mesh overlay, so it's also very comfortable. I bought mine from Myer.

New Muuto colours

New Muuto colours have just arrived at Scandinavian Design Center. I've already switched two items on our wedding registry for these two pendant lights.

I'd also love one of these in pink or light grey...

...to form the base of a little storage display like this...

...or to build up to something more substantial like one of these.

Beautiful blooms

I had to share this image because this is the loveliest floral arrangement I have ever seen and perfect inspiration for my ivory and soft pink wedding colour scheme.  I'm hoping I can find similar flowers, but I will be restricted by what's in season in winter.

A peacoat for Winter

I just received the Lucy cape from Jigsaw as a birthday gift from my grandmother and my little sister.  It's super cute and perfect for Autumn.

Next on my wishlist is a peacoat.  I've been meaning to buy one for the last couple of Winters, but I haven't got around to it.  Any of these three lovelies from Marcs would do nicely... faux fur, graphic pattern, or bright and asymmetrical... and they're all currently $100 off.
